    1967 ELF MS630

    The Matra 630 was called the "grandmother" when she was part of the Matra trio finishing the 24 hours of 1969. Driven by Jean Guichet and Nino Vacarella forced to a forced wisdom, she still found herself the best Matra in the middle of the night. The 630 also made its contribution to the development of the oil prepared by ELF by allowing the comparison of the state of the V12 engine after the 24 hours 1968 (castor oil) and the 24 hours 1969 (synthetic oil).

    1970 ELF MS650

    Winner of the Tour de France Automobile in 1970 and 1971, the Matra MS 650 became famous in the 1969 Le Mans 24 Hours with the MATRA-ELF team. At the 1000 km of Paris in October 1969, the famous drivers Henri Pescarolo and Jean-Pierre Beltoise lead the team to victory. 

    The Matra MS 650 is in fact the first "open" sports car of the French manufacturer, while paying particular attention to safety.  The suspensions are inspired by F1 with the MS 80.

    For the 1978 edition of the 24h of Le Mans ELF accompanies the prestigious Renault Alpine V6 to victory with the number 2. Jean-Pierre Jaussaud, who was then forty-one years old, and Didier Pironi, who was only twenty-six, won the overall classification in 23 hours and 24 minutes with only 36 minutes of stop time in total.
