    The 24 hours of Le Mans is a mythical race and the biggest of endurance of the world. ELF accompanied the prestigious Renault Alpine V6 car to the victory in 1978, under the number 2. It wins at the general ranking driven by Jean-Pierre Jaussaud, who is 41 years old and Didier Pironi who is only 26, over a period of 23 hours and 24 minutes, with only 36 minutes of time-out in total.
